“Hippy Paste is a product which made me to convert from years of using antipersiprants with aluminium to deodorant and I discovered quite a few things since I've been using it. First of all - without antiperspirants my body sweats and it's a natural thing. It might be surprising as we're used not to sweat anymore, but it's not a big deal after a while. Second - it really works - there is no unpleasant odour even after a whole day of work. Ylang scent is light and floral - something between very light jasmine and lilac. It's not a parfume so the scent might be gone after a while but the paste keeps you fresh and odour free for a whole day, just have to find your own quantity to use. I usually use just few fingertips. So far it's great value for money and seems to last long. It absorbs quickly but maybe better to aply and leave time to absorb before getting dressed. But haven't noticed any stains it would leave on clothing even if aplyed on the go so far. Packaging is handy and can be re-used.”

“Great product seems to work well. Easy to put on, I like the paste! I would like the smell to be a bit stronger though. I bought ylang-ylang and tropical, the latter smells like coconut and lime which I prefer.”

“Love the texture of the deodorant- not grainy like some other natural deodorants can be. Smell is subtle be nice. I think it's great value too.”

“I absolutely adore Earth Conscious Hippie Paste and have been using this product for a couple of years now. This time I opted for two tins of the Lavender fragrance, as I still have some of the Mint fragrance left which my son tends to use, these tins really do last a long time in our household and we are all really happy with the results and pleased we made the switch from other brands with nasty chemicals. This particular recipe is new to me and has a much smoother texture than my previous purchases, making it easier to apply and absorb. I wasn't aware that there are many different fragrances to choose from and I look forward to trying these next time.”

“Have used the old version of men's mint and found that to be more effective. Can't say that this is any easier to apply I find it needs warmth to be sure you can apply easily. They don't appreciate cold bathrooms. I think I prefer the old recipe, as it lasted longer than a day Sorry folks.”

“excellent product wasnt sure how nice it would be but very pleased i have used it every day and had no problems feels nice on your skin and smells nice aswell overall very pleased.”

“Have been using this product for a while now. One tin it lasted for ever. I am glad to see that the cream is now even finer consistency than before. You only need to apply a small amount and it works wonders. Does exactly what it says on the tin and is excellent value.”

“I'm not fond of the renaming of this product as i wouldn't know what it was if i hadn't been a regular customer. However the product is as excellent as always and it's lovely to have more of a range of scents available.”

“I've tried literally dozens of healthy deodorants, including making my own. Some were too messy, some didn't work very well, others were too expensive. This stuff is super easy to apply, works extremely well and is reasonably priced. Best of all, no chemical nasties. Winner :)”

“I have been looking for a deo that really is body and earth friendly for ages, it is quite by chance that I found this product in it's previous version. This new product works every bit as well, plus it goes on more smoothly and comfortably. We have tried the peppermint and the ylang ylang and find them just delicate enough to make it a pleasant experience to use without interfering with any other fragrance you may choose to wear. This product lasts ages especially in a cool climate. It gets much more malleable in warmer places ( but no less effective ) so be careful not to take too much from the tin.”

“I was buying this back when it was called Earth Conscious deodorant. I have to say, them changing the name to 'hippy paste' really put me off! However, the product itself has always been excellent. I am a nutritional therapy student and it is really important to me to have natural deodorants, knowing the implications of the metals in some commercial deodorants. I recently ordered four more in different varieties. I have to say I am a bit disappointed! They do not seem to work as well since they change the name and the consistency seems to have changed too, so I am wondering if they have changed the product itself? A shame, thought I had finally found something that works!”

Sorry to hear you’re not on board with our product name. We haven’t changed the branding we are still Earth Conscious and the product has been named to add a level of fun to help encourage others who perhaps aren’t already looking at natural or green alternatives - sometimes the green industry can be a little serious and intimidating and we want everyone to feel that they can make a better choice. The product itself is smoother and creamier but the ingredients have not changed except we have minimised the bicarb content. To the best of our knowledge and testing it is still as effective as the original grittier formula.
